Clothing & "Day of" Tips...
- Wear color! Red, blue, green, black and brown are all great!
- Stay away from pastels: light blue, pink, yellow--they photograph the same color as light skin. These colors do work well on darker skin though.
- Try and stay away from busy stripes and prints as well.
- Texture is recommended.
- Layers are recommended--white works well under something but not on its own.
- Neckline options include v-necks, tank tops, crew necks, collared shirts, lightweight sweaters, casual outdoor jackets, and dresses (girls stay away from puffy sleeves).
- Wear comfortable bottoms (women: jeans, leggings... shorts are not recommended) -- you'll be moving around the studio.
- No jewelry
- Come with your face clean and your hair fixed the way you usually wear it for auditions.
- Bring as many clothing options as possible. Don’t be embarrassed to bring a large suitcase.
- Have your clothes pressed and ready when you arrive.
Feel free to bring your music of choice! However I do have over 9,500 songs to choose from in case you forget.
Philip Kessler is a real people person. The shoot was very professional, and it was as if all the comforts of home were there with my.
